This real case is built for a local seafood distributor in Michigan, who needed a small but reliable cold room to store frozen fish and seafood for daily retail and local delivery. The whole project was finished and put into use in early 2026, and it has been running stably for more than 8 months.
The internal size of this Cold Room is exactly 4m long, 3m wide and 3m high. The total volume is 36 cubic meters. After leaving space for aisles and air circulation, the effective storage area can hold about 6 to 7 tons of boxed frozen fish. It fully meets the daily stock demand of small and medium seafood shops in Michigan.
This Cold Room keeps a stable storage temperature at -25℃ to -28℃. It uses finned tube evaporators to make sure cold air spreads evenly in every corner. Even in Michigan's cold winter and humid summer, the temperature fluctuation will not exceed ±2℃. This can lock the original taste of frozen fish, reduce moisture loss, and avoid protein denaturation.
We adjusted the whole system to fit Michigan's local climate and power supply conditions. The high-density polyurethane panels can resist outside heat well, and the low-energy consumption condensing unit works well even when the outdoor temperature drops below zero. The client only needs simple daily checks, no complex maintenance work.
After 8 months of running, the client's frozen fish storage loss dropped below 2%. The daily power consumption is much lower than their old small freezer. This compact Cold Room fully matches the small-scale seafood storage demand in Michigan local market, and it has become a stable cold storage solution for many local small seafood businesses.
